“Donald
Robertson then finished the afternoon with a whistlestop tour of
Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy, allowing us to briefly catch our breath with
some auto-suggestion and mindfulness techniques, before playing his trump card
-his interpretation of the largest survey into the benefits of psychotherapy.
Donald goes where others fear to look, and always returns with nuggets of gold,
for which we are all richer.”
–Rob Woodgate, reviewing the 2007 NCH conference in The
Hypnotherapy Journal.

Hypnotherapists have made use of broadly cognitive and behavioural
interventions since the middle of the 19th Century. Over the decades,
some major contributors to the science and clinical practice of
hypnotherapy, have employed cognitive-behavioural concepts and techniques.
Experts in the field have noted that many of the techniques used in modern
cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) borrow heavily from much earlier
traditions in clinical hypnotherapy. In the modern marketplace for therapy,
there is increasing client demand for therapists using evidence-based and
cognitive-behavioural approaches.
(We are constantly improving and adding to our courses.
