Some Reviews & Testimonials from Other Professionals

As ever he somehow manages to make what is obscure to most of us not only entertaining but also stunningly relevant to our work.  [...] I'd listen to Donald if I had to sit on razor blades to do so!  (Trevor Silvester, hypnotherapy trainer and author of Wordweaving.)

We would like to thank you for hosting the Stress Management workshop. The workshop was a real success, and hopefully the tips on coping with stress have had the desired effect, the office should now be stress free! (Langland Advertising Design & Marketing Ltd.)

My role as chair of the Association of the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis (AICH) is to find and invite exciting and interesting speakers who can entertain and inform our group of newly-qualified and experienced hypnotherapy practitioners at our quarterly meetings held at Kings College in the Strand.

Don Robertson gave us a brilliant two and a half hour presentation on 'Self-Hypnosis for Hypnotherapists.' Quite frankly it was a revelation to all of the AICH members who were lucky enough to attend April's meeting.

Don used his comprehensive knowledge of hypnotherapy, coupled with fascinating anecdotes and examples from classical antiquity to inform, entertain, and thoroughly entrance this audience. He confidently and safely led us all in and out of hypnotic states –and we all loved it.

In my opinion, Don is one of the leading authority figures in the art of hypnotherapy and self hypnosis of his time.

I would have no reservations at all in recommending him to whoever wishes to broaden their understanding of these fascinating disciplines. (Frank Forster, Chair AICH)

Congratulations on the summer issue. [...] The flagship amongst July's articles was Donald Robertson's 'Stoicism - a lurking presence.'  His article presented a historical dimension of psychotherapy that goes farther than Freud and is helpful in increasing my confidence as a practitioner.  (Werner Kierski, Counsellor & Psychotherapist; Letter, Therapy Today)

After lunch I had the joy of listening to someone in complete control of their subject, and whose passion for it kept the audience absorbed throughout. Fancy talking about hypnosis and ancient philosophy? How about being interesting at the same time? Me neither. Donald Robertson did, and he triumphed. An absolutely fascinating talk, and an inspirational call to live a real life. (The Hypnotherapy Journal, Issue 3, Volume 3)

Last year we had a presentation by Donald Robertson talking about philosophy and the connection with therapy today, which was riveting. (Maggie Childs, NCH Administrator, published in The Hypnotherapy Journal, Issue 3, Volume 4)

I had the opportunity to spend all day with him [Don Robertson] and see his skills during a teaching session. I must confess that I was very impressed I have found the workshop very interesting… I particularly enjoyed the use of suggestions in Self-Hypnosis. (Daniele, Doctor of Clinical Psychology, London)
