Online Certificate in Evidence-Based Hypnosis (Diploma Stage 1) May 2021

This is the only short hypnotherapy course approved by the British Psychological Society for CPD. The Certificate in Evidence-Based Hypnosis can be taken either as a stand-alone training or as the first part (Stage 1) of the Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy (our complete practitioner diploma training.) What is the Online Certificate in Evidence-based Hypnosis?

This stage is focused on basic hypnotherapy assessment, hypnotic induction, and the use of suggestion; it presents a strong and comprehensive basic training in traditional hypnotherapy. Content is based on experimental and clinical research into hypnosis. Students finish this stage confident in knowing what hypnosis is, what it isn’t, and what it can do – they develop a good, solid foundation in how to induce hypnosis, and are able to write and deliver suggestions, train clients in self-hypnosis, assess hypnotisability and conduct suitable hypnosis skills training if clients require it.

What does the Online Certificate allow me to do?

The Online Certificate (Stage 1 of the Online Diploma) allows you to study the subsequent stages (Stage 2 and Stage 3) of the Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy. The Online Certificate can also be taken as a stand-alone training, rewarding you with the BPS-accredited Certificate in Evidence-Based Hypnosis for CPD.

The Online format

The Online format allows you to study entirely at your own pace using professionally edited pre-recorded lectures and one-to-one tutoring which is not included in the Webcast version of the course. You will have one year to complete the training, as opposed to the 7 days allotted for the Webcast version. Recruitment to the course takes place on a monthly basis.
