“In these Town Halls I’ll be sharing some of the most significant developments in the history of Hypno-CBT®, and I want you, our community, to hear them from me first. There are no public announcements about this yet.
I’ll present the newly articulated Hypno-CBT® model, and I’ll be making a bold claim: that this is an entirely new category of therapy, a fourth wave, thoroughly grounded in modern neuroscience.
There will be plenty of time for open discussion, questions, challenge and ideas. Cameras on! Let’s meet and connect.”

At the centre is the newly articulated Hypno-CBT® model:
It brings together Self as Being, self-efficacy, values, imagination, embodied action and disinhibition, alongside the neuroscience of predictive processing and 4E cognition, into a new, more complete model of human change, agency and flourishing.
This is not just a new model of psychotherapy.
It is a model of human growth and flourishing.
It also will claim to be an entirely new category (4th Wave) of therapy/growth – thoroughly grounded in modern neuroscience.
But this Town Hall is about more than the model!
MAJOR CHANGES COMING!
Mark will also introduce major changes across the organisation and professional community:
- the transition to Hypno-CBT® College;
- the launch of a new Hypno-CBT® Practitioner Directory;
- the development of a dedicated Research Unit;
- a wide-ranging publishing programme, including the Hypno-CBT® manifesto, essays, articles, podcasts and future academic publications;
- the wider vision for the training, the profession and the future of Hypno-CBT®.
