The following information outlines the course duration and extension costs for the Online Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy training programmes (both the full Online Diploma and the Self-led E-course).
Course duration
You will have 1 year to complete the course.
Completion of the course involves the following:
- Listening to each of the video lessons
- Completion of all the exercises and gaining feedback from volunteers
- For the full Online Diploma: completion of coaching and supervision hours
- For the full Online Diploma: completion of the assessment questions and case studies
There are approximately 80 hours of video footage in the online training.
Coaching
If you have opted for the full Online Diploma you will receive 15 hours of coaching plus 2 hours of supervision. The coaching is broadly split as 5 hours per stage of the Diploma; however, this is flexible and can be taken to suit your needs. The supervision is arranged as one 30-minute session to brief you on conducting the case studies plus three 30-minute supervision sessions, one per case study. The supervision sessions are not flexible and must be taken in this manner.
You are required to use all the coaching hours within the 1 year allocated to complete the Diploma, any hours not taken are forfeit and may not be transferred beyond this time.
Self-led online training
You will have one year to complete the course. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion from the College. The course will not qualify you to practice hypnotherapy. If you are already a qualified hypnotherapist this course will allow you to apply the cognitive behavioural approach to your existing skill set. The course is also suitable if your interest is self-development. If you have no prior training this self-led course will provide you with a stepping-stone into becoming a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist. However, to fully qualify you will need to attend the full live Diploma training or upgrade to the full Online Diploma.
Extensions
If you have been unable to complete the Diploma within the 1-year timeline, it is possible to apply for an extension. Extensions are chargeable as follows:
3 month extension (only available if you are due to expire your course with remaining hours to use) – £100.00
3 hours coaching for a 3 month period – £165.00
5 hours coaching for a 5 month period – £250.00
In the case of an extension, we will endeavour to continue to assign you your existing coach. In some circumstances this may not be possible, and a new coach will be assigned to you.
