Higher Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (Hypno-CBT®) — benchmarked at Level 5 by NCFE
Most students choose to have their learning evaluated and receive a qualification at Level 5 Higher Diploma.
However some students may choose to opt for our older and somewhat easier qualification – the Level 4 Diploma in CBH.
Please note the qualifications below from NCFE are “customised qualifications” and not national qualifications. They have been designed in collaboration with NCFE and they have been benchmarked using national framework level descriptors to allow you to demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study. This is an unregulated qualification and is not a nationally recognised qualification. They are proprietary to The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and the intellectual property of the College.
Level 4 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy
– Customised Qualification accredited by NCFE
CBH Assessment Fee is the assessment fee for the Level 4 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and is £295 (incl VAT). You may resubmit up to 5 questions ONCE if they do not receive the pass mark. If you need to resubmit more than 5 questions there is an additional fee (see below).
Your assessment includes two hours of supervision for your 3 case studies, marking with feedback on your 26 assessment question essays. Note your registration with NCFE, and your certificate from NCFE are covered in your main Diploma fees.
If you paid £195 for Level 4 previously, please note the prices were increased in 2022. In order to proceed with the Level 4 assessment, please pay £100
Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy
– Customised Qualification accredited by NCFE
CBH Assessment Fee is the assessment fee for the Level 5 Higher Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and is £495 (incl VAT). You may resubmit up to 5 questions ONCE if they do not receive the pass mark. If you need to resubmit more than 5 there is an additional fee (see below).
Your assessment includes four hours of supervision for your 6 case studies, marking with feedback on your 26 assessment question essays. Also marking of your two reflective essays, and two additional hours of supervision for your additional 12 client hours. (Total clients hours = 20). Note your registration with NCFE, and your certificate from NCFE are covered in your main Diploma fees.
Upgrading to Level 5 qualification
If you wish to upgrade to the Level 5 qualification now:
- If you have submitted your Level 4 questions and received your marks
-You will need to resubmit questions 2.2, 3.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.5, 5.1 - If you have completed your three case studies
-You will need to complete additional case studies to evidence 20 volunteer client hours in total. Each case study must not exceed 6 sessions and you will need to submit a case study review form and attend a supervision session for each case study - You will need to complete the two final essays
- Attend a 30 minute Professional discussion demonstrating your understanding
- If you have submitted your unit 1 questions for Level 4, you will need to pay the upgrade fee and complete the application form. Please also contact assessments@ukhypnosis.com to ask for the link for Level 5 for units 2 – 5 questions. Continue with your assessment from here, you don’t need to resubmit any of the unit 1 questions.

Extra fees for resubmitting more than five questions
Up to five answers out of the 26 questions can be resubmitted as part of the initial assessment fee (£295 for the Level 4 Diploma and £495 for the Level 5 Higher Diploma). If you need to resubmit more than five answers then the following fees apply.
- 6-9 questions: £80 additional administration and marking fee
- 10 or more questions: £120 additional administration and marking fee.
Please note you can only resubmit questions once. If your answers fail on the second submission you will be required to start the assessment process again and be charged the full fee for your assessment.
Other Qualifications
Diploma in Stress Management and Resilience Building (SMRB)
- SMRB Assessment Fee is the assessment fee for the Diploma in Stress Management and Resilience Building and is £144.
- Note for the Diploma in SMRB the pre-requisite is obtaining the Level 4 Diploma in CBH or the Level 5 Higher Diploma in CBH
- If you do not have the Diploma in CBH – then you will be awarded the Certificate in Stress Management & Resilience Building.
- Once you obtain your Diploma in CBH you can apply to be automatically upgraded to the Diploma in Stress Management & Resilience Building
