A note on International Parity Pricing
For most of its history, the Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy has been priced for the UK market. That has always meant one thing in practice: for a large part of the world, the cost has been simply out of reach.
Not because those people lacked commitment, ability, or the right reasons for wanting this training. But because a qualification priced for someone earning in pounds is a different proposition entirely for someone earning in rupees, or rands, or reais. The same number of hours of study. The same qualification at the end of it. An entirely
different financial reality to get there.
I’ve thought about this for a long time. The argument for a single global price is simple: it keeps things straightforward, it avoids complexity, and it protects the perceived value of the qualification. I understand it. I’ve made it myself.
But I no longer think it holds.
The value of the qualification isn’t set by the price. It’s set by what the training teaches, by the rigour of the framework, by what a practitioner can do with it when they qualify. None of that changes with the price. What changes is who can access it.
So we looked at the economics properly. We worked through World Bank income data for countries and regions around the world, and we built a pricing structure that reflects genuine purchasing power rather than a single rate applied globally.
The result is International Parity Pricing. Five bands, ranging from 20% to 60% off the UK price, applied by region. The training is identical in every band. The qualification is the same. The price reflects what is genuinely affordable where you are.
This is not a promotional offer. It is not a sale. It is a permanent structural change to how we price the Diploma outside the UK. We have done it because we think it is the right thing to do, and because we would rather train more excellent therapists in more parts of the world than hold the price at a level that makes that impossible.

The Diploma is priced against local purchasing power. Students in most countries pay significantly less than the UK price — not as a discount, but as the correct local price for the qualification.
